Engineer I, Static Stress Wanted: Perform static analysis for both metallic and non-metallic parts utilizing methods including classical hand calculations and computer techniques to develop high strength to weight ratio structures. Perform stress/strength analyses to verify that structural integrity requirements have been met. Assignments will include detail part sizing, layout maturation, trade study analysis, and weight reduction efforts. Document analysis in support of trade studies or detail drawing sign-out for wing airframe structure. Participate in design and analysis collaboration with suppliers and team partners. Work location is in Wichita, KS. Must have Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or its foreign equivalent or closely related field. Design Engineer Wanted: Develop solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems requiring judgment and ingenuity. Create drawings and models for project specific deliverables including feasibility studies, integration plans, clash investigation and resolutions and creation of production documents. Create procurement technical specifications. Revise models and designs based on manufacturing and or design requirements. Interface as needed with stress engineers, DMU, drafters, designers, suppliers and technical management personnel to assure manufacturability of designs. Prepare engineering models and documents that meet or exceed compliance with engineering principles, regulatory requirements, company standards and customer contract requirements and apply those requirements. Provide input to the design engineering elements of the integrated project plan. Must have Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or its foreign equivalent or closely related field. Work location is in Mobile, AL.
